home again

Just a few more pictures from our vacation... the boys like the beach but they LOVE the pool. i would much rather have my feet splashing in the ocean but they like clean blue water the best. so we (mainly greg) tried to give them some pool time every day.

We liked our ice cream trip so much that we decided to do it one more time. On the way there, we saw this beautiful sunset. I think it looks like a postcard, but we really did see it with our own eyes. I wish we could've captured the whole sky in the frame - it was gorgeous.

No matter how serious my denial is about the time with Mom and Dad in NC drawing to a close, it still manages to happen. Lots of hugs and one last picture before we pulled out and off we went. I DID get to stop for a latte' and some breakfast goodies for the boys on our way out. A peace offering of sorts? Made for a more pleasant morning with a wife who didn't want to leave.

This really is trivia, but if I can convince Greg to stop we always stop here at David's. He is reading this over my shoulder and just said he knows he has to stop or deal with the "wrath of Leigh Ann"...I'm not sure about that. Maybe insurance in case the latte' thing didn't work? Anyway, it's a produce stand and I love to go there. I didn't buy much this time, just a few peppers and zucchini, but I wanted to stop anyway.

We got home to a yard full of plastic flamingos and beach toys. We have really weird friends. Our neighbor was out waiting for us, I think, so he could see us see all that stuff. He said "Your friends worked really hard on that." Isn't it nice to be loved? Our boys thought it was funny and we got one more beachie kind of picture, even though we were far from the shore. And today we returned the beach toys (kept the flamingos for future use) to their rightful owner. Creatively, of course, just to give her a laugh when she got home from work.
