more of today

we've had a whole day now of whatever we felt like doing. i could really get used to it. after that big huge snow we had (ha!) we didn't do much til lunch time. we decided to go out for a change, and went to bellacino's. we all got sandwiches except max, who got a salad that was bigger than his head. he ate about 1/5 of it. after another errand, we went to starbucks. why not? it's the day after thanksgiving, it was cold, snowing again...obviously the perfect time for a red cup! our sbux friend brittany was working today. we were so glad! she's one of the last 2 people working there that we know. (i'm really going to have to make friends with those other people i guess.) anyway, it's always really good to see her.

isn't this beautiful? it's what i want for Christmas.

we planned to go see a movie with the boys over this break but there is just nothing playing that is worth the money or the time. so we went to movie gallery and bought some movies that we'd been wanting, and ended up spending way less than we would've at the theatre. plus when you watch movies at home you can wear your pajamas and drink coffee. so why not? luke found a slot to put a quarter in, so of course he did. it happened to be a gumball machine and if you got a black gumball you got to rent a movie for free. (that wouldn't actually be renting, now would it?) this isn't the one he ended up getting, but it's the picture i got. bless his little allergied-up nose. we also spent some time at route 60 music so the boys (and their dad) could do a little guitar dreaming. and drum dreaming.

greg and i did some furniture moving/rearranging in our computer area. this part of our house really bugs me. there is no configuration that is good, and it just makes me nuts. so we'll try this new way for awhile and see how it goes. while we were in that mess, blake put the tree up. and occasionally, if they felt like it, he had some help from his brothers. it was pretty fun to watch the next little generation of creasy males struggle with putting it up and getting lights to work and wanting to pull their hairs out over the whole process. i enjoy that. only difference in them and their "forefather" is that the directions saw the light of day this year.

we're ending our evening with some movie watching. in our pj's. with coffee. and blankies. and boy scout popcorn. aaahhhhh.

I love days like those that you don't really have a plan...especially if everything is complete and you actually have time to sit down and think about things. We call those PJ Days. Don't do a thing but wear our pj's all day long. Mark doesn't get to do those with us...he is always working. And eating out in a restaurant is Michael's favorite thing to do in the world.
