My experience at NYLSC was great. I learned so many things that I did not know before such as active listening skills, Johari’s Window, and giving positive feedback. We ran a tight schedule all day long. We got up in the morning went to breakfast, then to a few hours of Leadership Development meetings, then to lunch, committee meetings, more Leadership Development meetings, evening activities, dinner, and then to bed. My faculty advisors’ names were Susan and Winna. They led my leadership development meetings. I also made many new friends while I was there. Most of these friends were in my group. It was named the Gulf of Mexico. We also did a Scholar Led Seminar; there were a few options of ones to go to. There was Hannah Montana, Censorship, Presidents, and Immigration. The members of my group were named: Chris, Casey, Brian, Darren, Anthony, Joe, Alex, Faith, Julia, Emily, Clay, Kevin, Trinity, Maddy(Eagles Fan), Aleana, Evan, Hailey, Astrid, Imani, Yasmeen, Jonece, Brian, Chandini, and myself.
