sunday - busy day, but what a great one!

yesterday (sunday) was busy as usual. the day starts early when we're all on praise team. well, everyone but max, but as i've mentioned in previous blogs, he is moral support in that department, so he goes where we go. we have to be at church to practice at 8am and max had to be there this week at 8:30 for children's choir practice so it worked out ok for everyone. this week jeremy FINALLY joined us. i'm so glad...that boy can sing, not to mention he just cracks me up, and it was great to have him up there! megan sang also (all by herself and very beautifully of course) but it would've been pretty rude of me to take a picture at that point in the service, so i didn't...i really can put the camera down, believe it or not.

i'll skip ahead for a minute to the evening...max is in the children's choir and they did their Easter musical sunday evening. if you'd attended a rehearsal recently you would've thought they didn't have a chance of making it work but they (God?) really pulled it together and they did an excellent job! max had a pretty big speaking part. he learned the whole thing on his own, no help from us, except a chunk of scripture which he was allowed to read from the Bible. he listened to the cd they gave him over and over, including as he was falling asleep every night. determined boy!

ok, back to the afternoon! a perk to megan singing was that much of my blake side of the family came to our church - mom and dad, max, susan and drew were there. so lunch was at our house, with all of them plus scott and michele and their bunch and jeremy, who we have made an honorary blake. it was so so so so great to have them all here in our home and to spend that time with them. the eating was fun, but i think my favorite part is the sitting around and talking/cousins playing time that happens after that. i'm just going to put as many pictures as i have the patience to upload in here at this point. minus the 2 that i promised my brothers would never see the internet by way of blog/facebook/myspace.
