has been telling us for the last week or so that things are blurry and he's having a hard time seeing what he needs to see at school and at home. he told his teacher and she arranged for the school nurse to check his eyes. we got a nice little note home that said he failed his eye exam and needed to have his eyes checked. that was my plan anyway, but i'm glad they did that at school. he had his eye appointment yesterday and came away with a prescription for glasses that he only needs for reading and other closeup work.
like computer things and video games. so actually i guess he's going to have them on quite a bit. doesn't need them for football or soccer or basketball or soccer, so that's good. we went to pick out frames and he chose his favorites after only trying on about 4 pair. i was expecting to be there much longer than that but he surprised me. he's wearing them just like the doctor told him to (for now) plus some extra time, which i suspect is because they're new. probably won't be too long until we have to remind him to put his glasses on. he'll be as good at remembering to wear them as his mama is.
