so i'm not sure if i know how to blog when i'm not 2 or 3 weeks behind on it. i've gotten kind of used to the marathon blog sessions and so this idea of writing with just a couple days gone by since the last time feels a little odd! the rest of my working days went by pretty much hitch-less. i do need to mention, though, that the very next day as i was on my way to the stairs to go down to clock out i stopped to let a transport guy pass with his stretcher full of patient. and the patient that the stretcher was full of was the one i mentioned in my last entry. i was hoping maybe she wouldn't see me but she did. and there i stood in the nurse's station with one of the other three stooges, as she called us. i was thinking to myself, geez. here we go...bet she calls me down right here in the hallway. but i found myself smiling and waving at her. i braced myself and got ready for whatever she flung my way. i wasn't prepared for what she sent me though. she smiled (sort of) and said "i'm nice today." that made me laugh! i told her i knew she'd just been worried about all of the unknowns she was facing. she was a bit more relaxed than the day before. and she didn't slander me in the hallway. so it was a good end to the workday.

friday my cousin bob and his daughter elizabeth came to be with us for the weekend. it is always great to see them. his wife margie wasn't able to be with us but we'll get time with her soon i hope.

we had dinner together and then split up for awhile for various activities. greg had to go to church for a bit, and i took max to soccer practice. bob and his girl and my other boys stayed home. i think there was a nap involved for bob. we joined up again at luke's 8th grade band spring concert. they were much better than at the winter concert in december, i'll say that. enjoyable. now there's a good word. it was his last band concert since he isn't going to be in marching band in high school. he's enjoyed being in band, but doesn't want to give the time to marching band that it demands. (this is a reason to give thanks!)

got some things from my boys that they made at school recently. and weren't they tickled to death for me to take this picture... definitely posed and definitely a mom-mandated shot.
