hmmm. the week got away from me. last monday night luke's eagles were playing football which was actually televised. they played his poppy's cowboys, which gave them both lots of trash-talking opportunities. nathan's kind of partial to dallas too. but he's a good guy so he invited luke over to watch the game with him, which luke was pretty thrilled about. it was a good game, but somebody had to lose and unfortunately for luke it was his team. tuesday at max's baseball game, poppy showed up decked out like a cowboys fan. nobody ever lets anything die in this family.
baseball has been fun this week. max got a chance to try pitching. (a chance he was not interested in!)
but he did pretty well for his first time ever, and didn't have to do it very long.
his coaches just wanted to let him try. after the game he told me, "i hope i never have to do THAT again." (he did...he had to pitch a little today.)
oh well. he's doing really well and having an absolute blast. he's getting hits and scoring some, so he couldn't be happier. we're so happy with his coaches - they are very good with the boys.
no screaming at them, which makes this mom happy. and max's teammates seem like good boys. they played great today - smoked the other team (there's no official scorekeeping, but someone always knows). and max ended up with a game ball. proud boy.

yay max! ( i always hated to pitch too..and short stop where all the balls came whizzing at me!)
