Renaissance Faire...a post from blake

the renaissance faire in charlotte, north carolina was amazing. it was so life-like and i had a great time. first off, we left school about 4 PM. we talked and drove for a while, and ended up in Princeton, WV. we stopped to eat at applebee's and had a great time there. then it was another three or four hours on the bus. then we finally ended up in charlotte. we all crashed in the hotel, and woke up refreshed and ready for the new day (not). we had an amazing breakfast at the hotel (they had a waffle maker!) and then we drove about twenty minutes to the renaissance faire. we walked in and i was overwhelmed with how real everything was. they had lots of shops and food places. it was outstanding. we first saw a show called Birds of Prey. it was a very interesting show. they showed us a falcon, an owl, and a vulture. we also saw a boa constrictor. It was nice. then we saw a small museum that was about medieval tortures and we saw some pretty weird things in there. then we saw a hilarious comedy juggler act that was hysterical. after that we ate at the "food court". i ate some brick oven pizza that was delicious. then we went and rode the elephant which was a boat load of fun! (maybe) then we saw the living tree. it was a guy on stilts and he had really long arms. it was a very elaborate costume. after that we headed to the bus and headed on home.
