some bits and pieces

well...connie and i finished blake's costume (uniform?) for collegium. it turned out really well, we thought! he's such a good boy for letting me take his picture. i'll post a picture of the whole group whenever i get one.

luke's fondest wish came true and he became the proud owner of a lizard. the custodian at our church found one in the stairwell and greg brought it home. luke was thrilled! at least for a few days. poor thing didn't last long. (hamster update: still alive and kickin'!) anyway, luke's back to his lizard wishing. he sees a bearded dragon named esteban in his future.

max's school had a little spirit day on the day of the MU/WVU game, and max, from a house full of MU fans, decided last minute to show support for the other guys too. actually, i think he did it to bug me. he didn't decide on the face painting til we got to the bus stop so kathy provided the paint. i wouldn't do the blue and gold though, so she did. i thought it might burn my fingers.

school picture day came and max wanted to wear "my pink shirt". that wasn't a strange request - since sarah beth's war with breast cancer began, no man in the creasy family is ashamed to be seen in pink. alex showed up at the bus stop in pink too. and as i overheard (eavesdropped) on their little whisperings, i found out that all the boys in their class had decided to wear pink shirts for their pictures. except for a friend of theirs who has red-orange hair who they thought might wear blue and another friend who would probably forget and wear his wrestling outfit.

my body and i had some issues a few weeks ago, after which i was left with no desire for coffee whatsoever. the taste or the smell. that's kind of typical for me though, after any type of illness. starbucks time with my friends really isn't optional though. so kathy and i went one day and i got (this will sound odd) hot tea. a venti calm with 2 splendas. first i had the girlie read the boxes to me so i'd know what i was in the mood for. when i picked that one, she said, "it's decaf, too." then added, "not that that's an issue with you." i have a reputation.
