had a birthday this past week. i missed our birthday lunch because i was needed (and i needed to be) elsewhere. which sarah beth totally understood of course. (bonus was she got her uncle greg all to herself!) when i got home, there was a rosebush sitting on my little front step. it was for me from sarah beth. how do you like that? her birthday and i get a present. and it's almost as pretty as she is.last summer i wrote about the little piece of a rosebush i got from my grandmother's 
house when she moved. and i wondered if it would survive. guess what? IT IS. there are just little signs of hope everywhere around here. God is so faithful.

SB is beautiful inside and out. And when did Aunt Kate and Uncle Greg get to look alike? Oh my gosh! Never really saw that before.
