i guess we just can't get enough of our church family

sunday afternoon was baseball. sunday evening was church. the lesson for the youth that evening was about sharing Jesus with the "living dead", which is anyone walking around on the planet outside of a relationship with Christ. blake and his friend lensie were made up to be the living dead. i hope their homecoming picture is better than this one. and i'm not sure what else they talked about but i'm assuming part of it had to do with being a baby in Christ because there were diapers involved, and some kids were walking around at our house with giant pacifiers in their mouths. i guess whatever gets the point across, you know?

after church there was an aftermeet at our house for the youth group. we've done that before - we love having a bunch of people over here like that. the weather has been great lately and continued to cooperate with a beautiful evening so we could use the firepit and have weenies and smores...again...just like at the booth's...apparently kids have no roasted weenie quota. luckily for me and some other people who like to be at least a little more sure what type of meat they're eating, paul grilled burgers. and i have to say that burger was one of the best burgers i've ever had. they played volleyball and ate a lot and ran around our yard doing who knows what and maybe played a little football and i know there were some stealth tactics going on to get nathan with the whipped cream. anyway. a youth aftermeet means the youth are there, but it also means an opportunity for their parents to come too and that means any little siblings tag along. which is no problem at all - the teenagers don't even seem to mind. we're just a big family, after all.
