"hello, this is max from church. i was calling to tell you that my boy scout troop is selling popcorn and i was wondering if you'd like to buy some." repeat. repeat. repeat. infinity. has he called you yet? it's scout popcorn time again and the creasy boys are at it. especially max. if you see us on your caller ID you'll have a pretty good idea why. consider that fair warning. so i decided to blog since i'm off work today and have time because i'm not straightening up my house like i told myself i would. it's been kind of a regular day, nothing major going on, and i've promised myself that i wouldn't be one of those people who blogs every time they paint their toenails like it should be the headline on the nightly news. but this is just a "regular day" kind of story. today was spent cutting my dad's hair, visiting with my sweet parents, drinking coffee, straightening up a bit (a very small bit), continuing the beach house hunting saga, talking to jeremy on the phone, talking to sarah beth on the phone, emailing jeremy, all my regular boy stuff, and spending time with my man on our new adventure called "budgeting" on our journey toward "financial peace a la dave ramsey".

(by the way, i'm feeling more peaceful already, and we just started!) once the boys got home from school and max and luke were done with guitar lessons, they started in on all their "business". max decided to show me how good he is at a song we're learning so we can sing/play it at church. you may or may not be able to tell, but he's dressed up in his darth vader outfit for that. (???) if you see the trash can in the background, please notice it has its mouth wiiiiiiiide open shouting to the creasy boys to come empty it

because tomorrow is garbage day. tonight is blake's first scout troop meeting as SPL so he was getting organized and typing up a planner for the meeting to keep it all on track. he can't help it, it's the creasy wiring.

i had lots of pictures of boys doing stuff so i asked luke what he was going to do so i could take his picture, suggesting maybe he could listen to the trash can and take care of things there. he opted for homework instead. i tried. that should be a clue as to how much he likes to take out the trash.

Do you think Blake's planner will be kind of like the Maple Leaf Club Minutes?
so in max's phone list there does he have highlighted all his victims?
Are you suggesting that some of the people that you know, blog about the silliest, tiniest little things....I wonder who that could be? It is just all about keeping in touch. Can you feel my hug?
i LOVE the pic of max with the guitar. I think he is adorable it it.
