ok, now for current events. it's been a kind of typical week so i'll spare you the details -

whoever you might be, including all future generations of creasys who might read this! we went to my mom and dad's and hung out with them for awhile last night, which was great. we live in the same town but for some stupid reason we don't see each other as often as we would like. i really do wish we were next door neighbors. dad might not share that sentiment, but i think it would be great.

(he still tells my mom to "cut the cord, betty jean" in reference to me...can you believe that?) we didn't do much but eat pizza and cherry pie and talk and watch tv, but those are the best kinds of times together, in my little opinion. we came home a little early and were able to get in bed at a decent time since all of us had to be up and out early this morning. max had an 8:30 game this morning, which is crazy early for a saturday but also happens to be the only time it's easy to find a

parking place out there. he had told me earlier he hoped he wouldn't have to play goalie today but soon as his coach got there he said, "come on max let's go get you dressed for goalie!" he didn't see the look i got. max did a good job though, at goalie and at the other positions he played. they didn't win this one though. at least he looks handsome out there, win or lose. mom and dad, his faithful soccer fan following, came out for the game. i've said it before but dad gets the biggest kick out of watching them play.

i told myself i wouldn't be so vocal this week but i was...i can't help it. that goalie stuff makes me nervous. greg, blake and luke hiked again this morning. the kanawha trace hike they're preparing for is next saturday, so they went a little longer today than they have been, doing 10 miles. they've been working really hard, and have been enjoying the hiking and just the time together. blake took his camera this morning so i finally can post a picture instead of just writing about it. i hope he takes it next weekend too, for the big event - that could be a "gotta see it to believe it" kind of thing and i'll need some evidence.
