growing pains

blake came downstairs this morning and after i released him from his mandatory first thing in the morning hug from mom, we were walking into the kitchen and greg said the words this mom has been dreading...."he's taller than you." off to the measuring wall we went. we measured. and my firstborn is taller than me. i gave a big "waahhhhh"...mentioned maybe i should call in sad to work...he said, "it's okay, mama"...i'll be alright. life goes on and all that. he's still my baby anyway.

my other two babies have grown too. but i'm still way taller than both of them.

I love it that you have a measureing wall. Keith and KAtherine are the proud caretakers of our measuring door frame on Lower Terrace. Everytime we go home, out come the yardstick...I know how you feel!
