snow and old wives' tales

there's rumor on the weather reports that we may be getting some snow accumulation tonight. i'm not sure i believe it because we just don't get any good snow anymore. and seriously, this is a fact that disappoints me. anyway. the radar shows a huge amount of colors that would indicate that the weather people might be right. i'm thinking, however, that we'll be right on the edge of it, or in a little empty/weatherless bubble smackdab in the middle of it all. max has somepretty high hopes, though. blake told us that his homeroom teacher, mrs. boyd, (a.k.a. miss everetta, our friend from church) told them to wear their pj's inside out, flush 2 ice cubes down the toilet and put a spoon under their pillows and it would snow and we'd have a snow day. max did every step. and he used a big spoon. "a big spoon for a big snow," he said. we'll see. i'd even settle for a 2hour delay.
