the weekend and then the monday

saturday morning (like most other saturday mornings recently) was spent watching luke and max play basketball. this time was different though because some of our family came to watch them play. fun! mom and dad are back from NC, keith came, as well as mark and kate, jeremy and sarah beth. the boys were so glad to have them all there. i never got a picture of my dad's face. every one of them is of the back of his head. oh well. so that's what goes on here since that's my memory of my daddy that day!! always good to be with family, and those basketball games can be pretty enjoyable. jeremy gave luke some pointers - not sure if luke paid attention to him but that's luke!

max sang with the children's choir on sunday morning and did a really great job. blake and luke played in the praise band and did so well! i just love to watch my kids do what they do and do it for God. and honestly, it's nice to watch those music lessons pay off! sunday was jeremy's birthday and we got to go help him celebrate. of course kathleen fed us all and fed us very well, as usual. everyone on our creasy/napier side was there and we really enjoyed that time. lots of talking and guitar music and relaxing. and mark built a fire, which i love.
sunday night at church we had a focused time of prayer for sarah beth, which was an amazing time. we have such a beautiful church family. and they are devoted to prayer for her and for this family. we are so blessed. while we did that, the children had a little party - they got to wear their pj's to church, which was reason enough to celebrate, but they got to do lots of other fun stuff too. monday was a day off work, and so if you know me at all you know that probably means a morning trip to starbucks. i'd hate to disappoint...kathy and i spent a little time (couple hours, if i'm honest) sitting in the comfy chairs drinking our coffee and talking about any ol' thing we felt like. also (of course) took the opportunity to take a few pictures. this is freddy - he's one of my favorite barista types there now. if he looks confused it's because we told him we wanted a picture of him working making our drinks but then i kept telling him to look at me and smile. sometimes i'm a little confusing i guess. but i can't help it.
