hamster tales, vol. 2 (or, "ode to oreo")

where to begin...how about here...another hamster bit the dust at the creasy house. i'm pretty sure the cage will be on the table at our neighborhood's annual fall yard sale. luke went to get oreo out to play with him but that wasn't gonna happen, since the poor thing had already given up the ghost. max was sad. but at the same time, disturbingly enough, i think he almost looked forward to rerunning the aerial burial that hammy had been given. he insisted on doing the deed immediately but we had a ton of things to do and i assured him the thing would be every bit as dead by the end of the day as it was at that moment, so he relented. interesting that there was no rigor mortis in oreo's case. and oh the fun that little boys can have with a soft little hamster puppet. but only if you wear your glove, because everyone knows that once a hamster is dead it becomes radioactive. when max flung little hammy over the hill i didn't get to take a picture or video or anything because i wasn't expecting such a show. i did this time since it was a planned flight. it's not as hilarious as the original - lots to be said for spontaneity and the element of surprise. i think that's greg adding a little bit of sound effects. you'll get the idea.
