a relaxing saturday. and i mean that.

in three years we'll be downtown all day on the day of the high school graduations. blake will graduate from midland and our nephew stephen from huntington high. until then, as far as i know, our presence at the actual ceremony won't be mandatory. this year, though, we had to take blake down there because he was chosen to be part of the choir that sang at graduation. even though i was glad to not have to go to graduation, i was kind of bummed that i wouldn't be able to take a picture of blake in the choir. the local newspaper took care of that for me though because this choir picture was posted on their website. bonus! with gas prices the way they are, a trip (even just to huntington) requires that we pack a few huntington-type activities into the same day. not a problem..and of course the plan turned into one that involved coffee. blake went to sing and greg, luke and i walked down to starbucks to wait for him. handy plan, huh? our friend ben was working so that was fun. we haven't seen him in a while. since he was there, luke's frappuccino was handed to him looking like this. it matched his clothes since he was, of course, all eagles'd out. we got some talking time in and some reading time and luke got to roam pullman all by himself, which he really enjoyed. he always wants to go to the video game store and this trip he actually spent some time in the bookstore, which is pretty unusual. blake came down and met us when the choir was finished and we left there for the pet store in west huntington that luke had yet to visit. we left there with a couple new little fishies for his tank. the lunch decision was kids choice so we ended up at mcdonalds. saw ben there too - one of us is a stalker! then we got to go spend some time with my mom and dad. they just got home from NC this past week. it's always good to be at their house and good to spend time with them. we don't seem to do it anywhere close to enough. the rest of the day was pretty low-key as well. greg and the boys went shopping with keith and christina, and i stayed home and took a long winters nap.

although i traditionally thought blake looked like u and the "blakes", it looks to be a mini greg standing there.....

lukes personality shines thru-the smile, the backwards hat, etc....
