lather, rinse, repeat

no kidding, i could seriously just say beach/home/pool/etc.....kind of like lather/rinse/repeat on shampoo bottles. we have fallen into our vacation at mom and dad's routine in a huge way. and in my opinion, it just doesn't get any better than this. it is so good to have concentrated time with my parents. even though we live minutes from each other at home, the routines of daily "normal" at home life get in the way and we don't get to be with them as much as i'd like. so this is always such a treat for me. for all of us really. and i love to watch my boys interact with them. max helped pop out with his shoe-shining duties - loaned him his foot.

max taught his brothers how to shuck corn. started out well, but even this simple thing didn't stay simple long. he informed luke that he was the "worst corn shucker ever" so luke hit max in the head with his ear of corn. things went downhill from there.

lots of pool time...

poppy seeks some peace and quiet...

mom and i went out for lunch before our grocery store trip. just a little much-needed girl time. we enjoyed ourselves! we went to sunset gourmet, which is my favorite place to go down here. jo, the owner, is great - so nice. and she makes some of the best sandwiches and salads ever. i didn't get her picture today because they were pretty busy when we were there. i'll get it when i take her her fudge. she asked when it was coming and i told her monday. she said she'd eat salad this weekend so she could be ready.

greg really is here too. he fixed our supper for us tonight.

some nature shots...emmy, are you with me?

nathan and kathy and the kids got here (FINALLY) and so we went to swim with them this evening. lots of swimming and splash-bombing (kathy's dangerous) and stuff like that. i've missed that girl and it was so great to be with her again! (ok, you too, nate...) luke and aly spent some time frog-catching. luke seems to be a little obsessed with this. he even named this one. nacho. he was hoping to keep it, but we made sure nacho was released back into the wild before we left the pool.
