i've been thinking for awhile that it would be really nice to be able to walk easily on my side of the bed, but the motivation factor for diving into that mess was just not there. it wasn't just the stuff i could see, but the things stacked and waiting for me in some of those drawers that scared me off. i'm a packrat, you see.

and i have years and years of things i've kept for sentimental reasons. mostly. some things land in my room because someone's coming to visit and i need a spot to stash things. anyway, for some reason, i got motivated and got to it. i'm still not done (have the closet and stacks of cooking magazines to go through) but i'm almost there. so far one big trash bag left my room full. i think i may have held on to most church bulletins handed to me for i won't even guess how many years. i'm keeping the ones that list somebody's baptism or some other special occasion, but out the others went. i figure if you keep something for sentimental reasons but can't remember what the reasons were in the first place, it's probably time to pitch it.

among other things, i did find a keeper in a little card that emmy ellis sent me in 1985 (YES, i said 1985) when i was gone with continental singers. i also tackled under the bed, a work still in progress, but only because i need to get the bed out of the way to sweep under there well. it was a little dark under there so i asked max to bring me a flashlight. here's what he gave me. it worked, and left me both hands free to tackle the dust bunnies.

Well I too am not too sure who Emily is. you know I got a test the other morning with this picture and I do not have your # in my phone so had no clue who it was from. I thought well it is a 304 # so I am sure that I know them. Mom finally told me who it was from. I think I must have been in trouble when I wrote that because I think that is the only time I have ever been called Emily. I must say that is some GREAT hand writing! I even colored some parts in to make it pretty!
