he got a little chick-fil-a delivery at school. he's been asking periodically for weeks now if i'd please do that on his birthday. so of course i did.
he got several happy birthday calls this afternoon, including the traditional call from poppy and nanny in which poppy sings his gloom and doom version of a birthday song. brings a smile to every creasy boys' face every time.
we went to panera bread for his birthday supper. he's all about the 1/2 panini 1/2 caesar salad dealie. it gets the thumbs up from him. 
luke needed to go to walmart to buy some more fishies and some plants for his aquarium. blake, with newly received birthday money burning a hole in his pockie, made a purchase he's been wanting to make for some time now.
his celebration with our extended family is this coming weekend, and that's when the birthday cake will appear. tonight we had birthday brownies to hold his candles instead. nobody complained. as a matter of fact, the brownies received the blake creasy thumbs up too.
