oh, that luke.

my cell phone rang this morning. caller ID said it was the high school. ok, so my wheels started turning. i said hello. a woman's voice said "mrs. creasy? this is the school nurse." (wheels turning faster and adrenaline kicks in.) "i'm calling about luke." (taking deep breaths.) turns out that while in gym class, luke got a soccer ball in the face. hard. he turned his head, which most likely saved his nose and several hours in the E.R., but it hit him full force giving him some cuts around his eye from his glasses, a pretty good headache, and glasses that were of no use whatsoever because he couldn't keep them on his head. from her description, i wasn't sure what i'd find when i got there. of course i imagined all kinds of things that ended up not being the case. he smiled through the whole thing of course, at least the part i was there for. we went to get blake's lunch and delivered it to him, went back to the glasses place at the mall and fortunately they were able to fix him right up. then to buy some ibuprofen for his sore head. i must've felt sorry for him because i let him get a vault to drink. then back to chick-fil-a for some food for him since we'd been at the mall during his lunch period. then back to school. i got "momma don't make me go back" in his best tiny boy voice. but i took him back anyway. =)

I wish I could count all the glasses Bryce had when he was rowing up. LenCrafter's knew him and his perscription without even looking. Kinda like the ER...it is pretty sad when they start filling out the forms for you! Glad to hear it wasn't major and that all survived!
