we only have one guy that still takes gifts to his teacher. which i appreciate, because in middle school and high school, it'd break the bank in this family to give gifts to every teacher! this year max put together some Christmas brownies in the form of a layered homemade mix. he was pretty proud of it and his teacher thought it was just the best. even though she said she's not sure she wants to ever make the brownies because the jar is just so pretty. (that makes a boy proud!)

tonight mike called and said he had something for us and wanted to bring it by. of course he's always welcome here whether he brings us goodies or not. his kind of homemade goodies are always beautiful and always made of wood. tonight he brought a game called crokinole, which is a board game that originated in canada. he showed us how to play it and we've pretty much played it off and on the rest of the evening. i can't even explain it on here. you should just come over and play it with us. just be warned, we're already quite good at it and we'll whip ya!
party mix time...greg gave max a little party mix construction instruction. it's a man's job around here, so it's good that his skills are being passed on.

Whenever I am checking blogs I check yours first and then go down the line. I love the new format and the new way you have your music set up. Chris Tomblin rocks! You will have to teach me how to do that too. Love the "baking mixes". Michael gave his teacher one too but it wasn't homemade...you will also have to share that with us. And I love the fact that party mix is man's work. I could eat a garbage bag full of that stuff! Looks like we will be home in Jan. for Christmas...see you all then I am sure. Merry Christmas!
okay so i wont be jealous of the new game if greg and mike hook us up with the wood nativity next year......
