Blake's blogging debut

blake finally blogged for me...i thought it would be the best thing ever if he would write about his all-state chorus experience himself. i like to hear that kind of thing firsthand anyway...it was n Charleston, and he got to spend 2 nights and 2 1/2 days away from home and family. he left thursday morning and we didn't see him again til saturday. (still not ready for these things, but they're happening anyway.)

All-State Choir was a great experience for me and my friends. It was an amazing way to further my singing, and learn different ways to sing louder and articulate my words more. We first got to the Baptist Temple Church and auditioned for the choir. We did great! After that we went to our hotel which was the Embassy Suites in Charleston. It is the nicest hotel that I have ever stayed at. We got our stuff into our hotel rooms and then went to the mall which was just across the street from the hotel. We went to eat at Bennigan’s, a restaurant at the mall, and it was fantastic. After that we went to a 3-1/2 hour practice and then went back to the hotel. We hung around in the hotel and in our rooms and then we went to bed for the long day tomorrow. We had a lot of practice the next day. We had a 3-1/2 hour practice and then lunch. We had spaghetti. Yum! Then, we had a 2-1/2 hour practice and then we had some free time. We went to the mall, imagine that, and ate at the food court. Then we had a 1-1/2 hour practice and then the teachers gave us a concert for about 15 minutes. Then we went to the hotel and played Extreme Uno. This is the most fun game that I have ever played. It is just a hyped up version of Uno. Then about midnight we went to bed. On Saturday, we had a 1-1/2 hour practice and then we went back to the hotel. We got ready for the concert at 1:00 and my parents picked me up at the hotel and we got something to eat, at the mall! Then we had the concert, which I thought went great. From my parents comments they seemed to like it too!

he's absolutely right...his parents LOVED it. SO proud of him. he didn't mention that there were 198 kids from all over the state in his particular choir. they sounded great. he was the best of course...and i think the whole thing, fun as it was, wore him out.

SOunds like a great time! I love hearing his side. It seems like it may have been the best trip ever! It reminds me of Sister Act. Wait take that back Sister Act 2, the better one if you ask me. I LOVE that move. Well it also seems that some families may spend alittle too much time at the mall.

okay, anonymous...i'm assuming you're emmy. blake was on his own with people from school - thus all the mall time. i was here in my little home the whole time.

Can you believe that anoymous...what is she talking about! Sounds like your little boy is growing up...they tend to do that faster that you want them too...but it is a different kind of fun with they are finally adults.
