saturday comes back around

hmmm....saturday....means basketball. at least for another week. luke and max have had such a great time. and they've each got a really good group of kids on their team, and good coaches. so it's been a great experience overall. and today was a good one because they both scored and they both won - always makes a boy's day! my mom and dad got to come to both games again, and my niece megan and nephew drew came to luke's game this afternoon. greg had a meeting at church tonight and the boys and i had a free evening. i started to make supper and realized i didn't have everything i needed so i made a quick grocery store run. when i got home, it was still so beautiful outside - it was warmish and sunny and blue-skied here today - i just didn't want to stay in the house. so i told the boys i was going on a walk. if they wanted to come they could and if they didn't want to it didn't matter, i was still going! of course they chose to go. they're always up for walking around the neighborhood or riding their bikes. i called kathy to see if she'd walked spencer yet. she had but she said she'd just walk him again. so off we went. spencer wore his santa coat. it was nice outside for people but for little hairless dogs it was a little chilly. it was SO nice to get some fresh air and just be OUT. sounds like tomorrow might be even better, so hopefully we'll get another chance for more of the same. but it IS sunday, and i have the hardest time staying awake on sunday afternoons. don't know what the deal is with that, but that's the way it is. maybe if i leave the blanket in the basket and stay off the couch it'll help.

Wish we were there...we still have snow and ice on the ground. I am soooo looking forward to being outside and in the dirt and on my bike. I think spring is only actually 3 weeks away. I didn't think it would ever come!
