the earth is singing!

i was listening to the radio (k-love) in the van this morning while i was taking the boys to school and running a few errands. on the news they told me to listen closely because the earth is singing...then they told me it was actually just humming and that i can't really hear it with my ears even if i try. (make up my mind for me!) apparently there's scientific proof that our planet makes a humming sound. the smart people don't know where the sound is coming from exactly but they're guessing it comes from the movement of the waters in the oceans. i get a big kick out of it when science "proves" something and then acts as though man has had an original thought. their ocean theory reminded me immediately of the scripture that refers to deep calling deep. of course i can rarely remember a reference, but i knew that it was somewhere in the psalms on the left side/right column of my Bible. (this is how my mind works...) turns out it's psalm 42:7 "deep calls to deep in the roar of the waterfalls..." personally, i just think that the earth is doing what it was made to do - praise God. and spring is the perfect time for it to be happening - i mean, the planet is really busy this time of year! think of all the flowers and grass breaking through the hard ground, all the trees revving up to release their buds, birds poking the ground for worms (worms wiggling fast to get away?) and so many other things! in those acts of breaking through and growing tall and budding into full bloom, all of those things in and on the earth are praising God. so i'm thinking that in those processes there must be a humming sound involved. i'm good with humming. we should start to worry if it turns to singing. because i bet after singing comes the point when the rocks cry out (luke 19:40)...don't want to get to that point...

I believe it:) there is a passage (don't ask me where right now) that says if we don't call out and praise God the earth will. After all He did make it all.
