sunday was a LAZY day. we went to church, went out for lunch, then came home and dozed off and on all afternoon. by late afternoon/evening, i needed to get out for a little bit. i know that there are some people who will not believe this (you know who you are) but i went to callahan's with max and mom last night. and it was my idea. max said "we went to callahan's at mom's request!" i wanted to buy myself a coffee mug like i bought my dad last year, so off we went. max didn't even want to go (very odd) but i bribed him by telling him i'd buy him a piece of candy or something. i got my mug, we got cards to send to elizabeth on her mission trip, and max's piece of candy turned out to be fudge. he bargained with me. i told him he could pick 1/2 lb of whatever. he picked 2 flavors i don't like. so i picked 1/2 lb of 2 other flavors that i was hoping he'd pick. i forgot that when you buy a pound of fudge you get 1/2 lb free. lord have mercy. now we have 1 1/2 lbs of fudge when i'd only planned to buy him a piece of candy. pushover. we'll suffer through.
today we went to the beach as usual. i think i could go every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. the sun wears me out eventually but i just love it so much.
this is the view i had for quite a while. max and i took a little stroll along the water. i was hoping to maybe find a conch hiding in the sand. i didn't expect to find one just sitting in a tidepool waiting for me but there he was.
now he's on the counter in the kitchen waiting for me to take him home to wv. well, his house is. he was actually thrown to the alligator by my dad. max found a few shells himself. and he spent some time playing with his empty pop can. throwing it up in the air, putting it down on the beach and letting the wind blow it to chase him..never know what will turn out to be fun.
