golfing with the boys (greg actually wrote something for the blog!)

I have been playing golf since I was in seminary. I really enjoy the game, although I am not very good. This year I have been playing in a league and have probably played more than the past 10 years combined. Before I left to come to Sunset, Blake and Luke went with me one evening for the league. They drove me and Nathan around in the cart, which they thought was great! We have always done the putt-putt circuit at the beach, but this year I asked the boys if they would like to go and play some “real” golf. They were very excited about the possibility…so before we left Huntington, I called Scott and asked to borrow some lefty clubs for Blake. We ventured out one afternoon…starting at the driving range, since they had never really hit a ball before (thought would help!). Then we played 9 holes at a Par 3 course in Little River. It was a whole lot of fun and the boys actually did really well. Max even got to drive me around in the cart the entire time. I hope that we will be able to play more together in the future.
