we had a very busy and full weekend. our church had a spiritual health conference on saturday. a pastor that greg had met during his time at CECL in wisconsin came and spoke - challenged our church family and encouraged greg. his name is tim brown - we just loved him. he ate dinner with us on friday evening which gave the rest of us a little time to get to know him. he's a wv boy, now living with his family in california. just a down-to-earth guy, with a real heart for building the kingdom of God and for helping others do just that. the whole weekend was just excellent.

sunday afternoon we attended and Eagle scout ceremony for 2 of the boys in blake and luke's troop, then came home and just flopped out for awhile. SO tired! sunday evening we went to the first of many Christmas season performances by collegium musicum. this one was at best buy, which was kind of an interesting spot to have such a thing. they sang beautifully, of course. lots of looks from some of the customers like "what in the world..." but they just did their thing. i love to hear them. and of course, we're so proud of our boy. and i can guarantee that this is the one and only picture i'll have of any of my boys with santa claus this year.
